Unbelievable Youth Only Hunting Opportunities Abound in New Mexico

We are without question THE New Mexico youth trophy hunting specialists!

New Mexico offers some of the very best opportunities for youth hunters (under 18) to enjoy the experience of hunting a trophy mule deer, elk, antelope or free range oryx. There are special seasons for youth hunters only. New Mexico is one of the few western states with a truly positive outlook for youth hunters, many of the hunts are 100% draw odds and trophy elk hunts are as high as 65%. In New Mexico, there is no age restriction, only the requirement that they have a hunter’s education number. We have some special requirements as a guide service that deal more with the ethics of hunting with young hunters, we will discuss this at great length on the phone with you prior to applying for special seasons.

Why are we THE New Mexico youth hunting specialists? Simple, our guides have the perfect temperament to make a hunt with mom or dad THE HUNT OF A LIFETIME! The quality of animals in New Mexico is second to none in the west, and the seasons are at wonderful times of the year, where you can hunt in the peak of the rut for elk or have first crack at our trophy mule deer. The hunts the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish have lined out for youth hunters are without questions the best in the Western US for season dates and trophy opportunity. We have been 100% shot opportunity, and almost 100% harvest for our youth hunters for 4 years!

We offer youth only mule deer hunts in NW New Mexico’s infamous unit 2B for trophy mule deer as well as late season rut hunts in 5B and on the Rio Chama wildlife area, these are with out question the best trophy producing units in the state in fact the New Mexico governors tag mule deer have been killed in these units the last 4 years, all of these hunts have draw odds as low as 1-25 for adult hunters, and for kids they are almost 100% draw. We also offer trophy bull hunts in the peak of the rut in some of New Mexicos best elk hunting units like unit 34 or unit 16C with a rifle, we also have late season cow hunts in December that have a very high success rate and a very affordable way to teach young hunters about elk. In 2009 New Mexico Department of Game and Fish added 15 new late season cow hunts for youth only hunters who were unsuccessful in the general draw. I also have private land tags for NW New Mexico in December on our private ranches where kids can hunt with out any worries of a draw, before Christmas not missing any school, sorry kids! On the private land late season hunts parents can hunt with youth hunters, tags are very limited for this hunt.

We also offer guided oryx hunts on White Sands Missile Base in New Mexico where we are under a very special permit to guide hunts.
